Place sliced onions in a 5 or 6-quart slow cooker. Add the ChicNSteakes, seasonings, tomatoes, tomato paste, white wine or chicken broth and mushrooms, if desired. Cover and cook on low 6-7 hours or high 4-5 hours until chicken is done. Cook pasta as directed on package. Toss chicken mixture with cooked pasta and cheese.
